Paneer Makhani
INGREDIENTS:
2 medium onions 1" ginger piece
3 flakes garlic 2 red chilies
1 tsp poppy seeds 1 tsp garam masala
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp cumin powder
A pinch of turmeric 3 tbsp halved cashew nuts
2-3 cups paneer cubes 1 tbsp raisins
Sugar to taste Salt to taste
3-4 tbsp oil  

METHOD:

1. Cut the paneer into cubes, deep fry in oil till golden brown, drain and keep aside

 

2. Blend together the onions, ginger, garlic, red chilies and poppy seeds.

 

3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion paste till done. Mix in the dry powders and fry lightly.

 

4. Add the cashews and raisins. Also add some water and let it come to a boil.

 

5. Add the paneer cubes, sugar and salt to taste. Simmer till the gravy thickens.

 

6. Serve hot with rice.
