Aurangabad

La mausolée de Bibi ka Muqbara à Aurangabad            The town of Aurangabad is more famous for it being close to the world famous caves of Ajanta (100 km) and Ellora (30 km).

Aurangabad holds its name of the  Emperor Aurangzeb when as a Prince he was a Governor of that area.

The mausoleum Bibi Ka Mukbara, of the name of the first wife of Aurangzeb, completion date of the 17th century., mausoleum of a sufi (muslim) saint Baba Muzzafar Shah .   

A few kilometres from Aurangabad, one will not forget to go to visit bouddhic caves. Two groups of caves are localised one on the left of the road while arriving (caves 1 to 5), the other on the right (caves 6 to 9, plus a not numbered cave, very particular bus associating in the same part the Buddha and an image of Ganesh).
